Managing Change

Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better. -Sydney J. Harris

Larry helps organizations manage change effectively by implementing a customized approach that integrates four areas:

  1. Communication: Design and implement a communication strategy and messaging for all levels.
  2. Change skills for leaders: Provide tools and coaching for planning, leading, and managing change over time.
  3. Resilience skills for those impacted by change: Provide models and support for coping with and adapting to change.
  4. User training and adoption: Assure employees know how to fully utilize the new processes, systems, and tools being implemented.

Each of these areas requires supporting tools. These may include change readiness assessments, checklists and matrices, leader and member training, teambuilding and facilitation, “Train the Trainer,” and creation of embedded “Program Liaisons.”

Mr. Solow draws on a number of change management methodologies to accomplish these:

  • Prosci® ADKAR framework
  • Bridges “Transitions”
  • Kotter “Leading Change”
  • GE “Change Acceleration Process”
  • Scott and Jaffe “Transition Curve”
  • “Complexity Space Framework”
